Recently I had the great opportunity of photography a National distributor of Kettlebells. Kettlebells have have quickly become the “in thing” in gyms these days.
A Russian ‘kettlebell’ or girya (Russ.) is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. Kettlebells originated in Russia, in the early 1700′s and gained recognition as a superb weight loss tool when they were featured in the fitness magazine Hercules in 1913. “Not a single sport develops our muscular strength and bodies as well as kettlebell athletics,” wrote Ludvig Chaplinskiy
